How to do PR for acousticians

How to do PR for acousticians

21st August 2017
ANC has recently appointed a PR consultancy to raise our profile and that of the acoustics sector in general. Trade association communications specialists Shepherd PR have been tasked with the activity, which will focus on promoting the expertise of the Association and the profession we represent, across print and digital media channels.

As part of the service, Shepherd PR is providing a free ‘How To Do PR’ session which will offer a grass roots approach to the subject.  It takes place as part of the next Company Meeting on Tuesday 19 September at 2.30pm at AECOM, Aldgate Tower, 2 Leman Street, London E1 8FA. The session is being led by Jane Shepherd, the founder and MD of Shepherd PR.

Subjects tackled will include;

  • Brand mapping – articulating your message and working out where to take the message.
  • Channels and Platforms – the types of media you can use, some obvious – some not so obvious.
  • Story themes – creative ideas to make your story more compelling.
  • Sources and types of communications – new and traditional news of getting your story across.
  • Creating dashboards to measure success– ways of measuring success and defining a good outcome
  • Compliance – an insight into keeping on the right side of the law.
