Noise Abatement Society John Connell Sustainable Development Award 2026
This award recognises and encourages the development of sustainable development products, services and solutions that reduce noise and/or improve sound to benefit the environment, society (health and wellbeing) and the economy in line with the relevant/applicable areas of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (https://www.un.org/en/common-agenda/sustainable-development-goals). This category is purposely very broad to reflect Lindsay’s Wheel of Acoustics (https://acoucou.org/data/Wheel_PDF.pdf) and the wide-ranging impact of the acoustics industry on sustainability.
Entries for this award should meet at least one of the following criteria:
(a) new or enhanced product(s) or solutions demonstrating significant and/or novel sustainability in technological, managerial and/or process advancement(s) to resolve noise and/or improve the sound environment, and/or
(b) organisations demonstrating a history of sustainable development for more than 2 years to resolve noise and/or improve the sound environment.

Please submit entries to info@theanc.co.uk by Friday 18th September 2026 at 6pm. The finalists will be invited to attend the John Connell Awards ceremony at the Palace of Westminster on Wednesday 21st October 2026 where the winners will be announced. Entry is by invitation only.
